Program Structure
1. Assessment: Each participant MUST complete an individual assessment (1 hr) prior to commencing the program. This allows for the physiotherapist to determine whether or not this program is appropriate for you and to help determine your specific goals. It also allows for proper instruction and review of the foundational information which will be built upon in class.
2. Group Classes: The program will run 2x/week (Tuesday and Friday mornings) for 6 weeks with each class lasting 45 minutes. The classes will begin with learning the basics of pelvic health, core activation and mobility of the back, pelvis and hips. As the classes progress, we will guide you through a balanced, full-body strengthening and mobility training program, readying you to get back to the activities and exercise you love.
3. Re-Assessment: Following the 6-week exercise program, our physiotherapist will take you through an individual re-assessment. This will allow us to see that you have met (or are well on your way to meeting) all of your goals set on Day One. If further work is needed, your physiotherapist can help guide you through the next steps of your rehabilitative journey.
